Helping Injured Children
Helping an injured child is not easy. It is not easy on the child, it is not easy on the parents and/or guardians of the injured child, and it is not easy on the lawyer. However, it can be the most rewarding aspect of being a lawyer. I have represented and currently represent injured children. When successful, I am able to see what all my hard work was for, and put simply, it allows for the child to potentially regain their life moving forward. I can never take away the broken bones, the burns, or the scars (both mental and physical); but, I can provide assistance to children in their future lives. Yet, to be successful, I put myself in the place of the child in every stage of the litigation. I am their voice. I am their parents' voice. I am the one that can tell their story to hold certain wrongdoers accountable. To be frank, it can be scary. It is scary as I have two small children and I know that the parents' of injured children rely on me to do the best that I can as a lawyer. It is the reason I wanted to be a lawyer. It is the reason I go to work everyday.
